It’s pouring… season highs! National rankings for the great duo of Hawaii!
Outstanding production came with new season highs for all Greeks in men’s volleyball in March! Starting with Mandilaris, who had 2 season highs in blocks and aces; he has significantly helped Ball State to earn an incredible 13-2. Then, in California's double-trouble, Kagialis had a season high in digs and Kalagasidis in kills and digs, with the 2nd one recording his first 2 double-doubles of the year! Finally, the unbeaten duo Chakas-Mouchlias, set new personal records in digs with 9 and 10 respectively, while they are in the top-15 in national rankings. Chakas is 13th for aces/set and Mouchlias is 15th for points/set.

Comfortably sitting at 6th place nationally is the University of Hawaii of Chakas and Mouchlias, who had their first conference match last week. Including 3 wins and just 1 loss so far in March, they have earned the wholesome 16-3! More specifically, on March 2nd and 4th, they lost (3-2) and won (3-0) against UC San Diego and on March 10th and 12th, they defeated Lewis in 3 and 4. Detailed statistics of Mouchlia and Chaka:

Angelos Mandilaris
Mandilaris's Ball State (13-2) continues without brakes, scoring the 3rd and 4th victory in a row and the 13th of the season! After the university’s very good performance so far, they stand in 8th place nationally and expect a higher ranking as the championship continues. On March 11th, they traveled to New Jersey and defeated the # 15 New Jersey Institute of Technology in 4, offering a terrific spectacle to the spectators. Mandilaris, being the protagonist once again, was the top scorer with 23.5 points, scoring 21 kills, season high 5 blocks and 4 digs. The next day, going to Princeton’s home gym, the Cardinals easily swept them and returned to Indiana quickly. Angelos, with another season high of 3 aces, scored 10 kills, 6 digs, 1 solo block and 2 block assists.

Michalis Kagialis & Nikos Kalagasidis
March did not start ideally for Simpson University (6-7) of Kagialis and Kalagasidis, after recording 1 win and 4 losses. On the first weekend of the new month, they hosted Benedictine University at Mesa and Park University Gilbert where they lost and won in 3 for both matches. In the defeat, Kagialis had 1 kill, 1 ace, 3 blocks and 2 digs and Kalagasidis had 19 assists and 1 ace. In the victory, the middle had 6 kills, 5 blocks and season high 6 digs while the setter scored his first double double of the year with 3 kills, 29 assists, 1 ace, 2 blocks and season high 10 digs. Then, the following weekend traveling to Arizona, they lost to Ottawa University (3-0), Benedictine University at Mesa (3-0) and Park University Gilbert (3-2). The Athenian had 5 kills, 3 blocks and 3 digs in the 1st match, 3 kills and 1 dig in the 2nd and 4 kills, 2 aces, 2 digs and 1 block in the 3rd. The Thessalonian had 2 kills, 22 assists, 3 blocks and 3 digs in the 1st match, 3 kills, 26 assists, 1 ace and 5 digs in the 2nd, and another double-double with 4 kills, 45 assists, season high 4 aces and season high 12 digs in the 3rd.
