Greek bombs away… again!

krimili 21

It’s back to business in full force for Ioanna Krimili, who has returned with a vengeance, aiming to once more compete for top rankings in national statistics. She currently sits at 9th place for three pointers made and 14th scorer overall in NCAA D1. More specifically, Ioanna has drained 18 threes over her last 4 games, and 13 in the month of December alone. She’s scoring 20 ppg (first in the West Coast Conference!) with 5rpg, 3apg and 2spg over December. Ioanna had a remarkable achievement since late November, scoring 34, 17, 29, and 19 points consecutively! In the game against Washington State, she continued her hard work by having 37 minutes, 6-16 FG, 3-10 3 PT, 2-2 FT, 2 ORB, 3 DRB, 2 assists, 17 total points. She received the Title “Player of the Game”.

Then, in the third game against a Pac12 Conference foe, “Io” was destined to lead her Dons’ troops to victory and she would refuse to lose to Southern California. She had 33 minutes 9-21 FG, 6-14 3pt,  5-5 FT,  2 REBs, 5 assists, 2 steals, 29 total points. Then, she’d follow these inspiring outings with another one on the road, her fourth consecutive away game, with 35 minutes again Cal State Fullerton, 7/15 FGs, 4/7 3pts, 6 REBs, 2 assists, 2 steals, and 19 more points. This girl is on fire!

Ioanna Chatzileonti and Danai Papadopoulou from the University of Kansas (7-1) had a good game against Vanderbilt (5-5) and led the Jayhawks to the win. Ioanna had 34 minutes, 4-8 FG, 3 ORB, 6 DRB, 3 assists, 1 steal, and 8 points total, approaching closer to her first double-double for the season. Danai on the other hand played 7 mins with 1-2 FG, 1 DRB, and 2 total points.

The twin sisters, Katerina Tsineke from the University of Montana (6-1) and Elena Tsineke of the University of South Florida (5-2) had outstanding performances recently. Katerina is starting each game for her Montana Grizzlies, and is on a hot winning streak! Against Sacramento State (3-5) she had 15 minutes, 1-3 FG, 2 assists, 3 steals, a total of 3 points, while against Northern Colorado she had 25 minutes, 4/9 FGs, 1/1 FT, and approached her first double-double with 9 points and 7 rebounds, a personal best! Importantly, she has yet to commit a turnover in December! Elena played against UT Arlington (5-3) 33 minutes, 3-14 FG, 0-1 3pt, 2-2 FT, 4 ORB,  1 DRB, 1 assist, and 8 points total.

Georgia Sideri from the University of Pikeville had a great game against Tennessee Southern in which she played 18 minutes having a strong performance of 3-5 FG, 2-2 3pts,  1 ORB,  1 assist, and 12 points total. In another game that past week Georgia played against Life University in which she had 25 minutes, 2 ORB, 2 DRB, 2 Assist. And continuing her solid outings, Georgia contributed 12 more minutes as a starter, adding 4 more points.
